Andrea, a 2024 graduate from Auckland University of Technology, completed her final-year placement with us, which inspired her to pursue a career in private practice. In addition to her background in personal training, her clinical experience includes working in Acute Surgical and Orthopaedic wards at Middlemore Hospital, as well as various musculoskeletal settings. Andrea also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Auckland (UoA).
Andrea’s passion for sports physiotherapy is evident from her work with sports teams, where she honed her skills in strapping and sports massage. Outside of work, she actively participates in a range of sports, including tennis, running, and taekwondo.

Christine completed her studies at AUT in February of 2024. Through her university placements she gained clinical experience in areas such as MSK, paediatrics/burns, and neuro. These placements allowed her to treat and connect with a wide variety of personalities, conditions, and ages. However, ever since completing her first placement here at Active+, she knew that she wanted to take her career into the private practice field. She has an interest in the musculoskeletal area and hopes to advance and upskill in the management of chronic pain in her future career.» View details
Ivan graduated from the University of Auckland in 2024, completing a comprehensive two-year program that included five diverse placements. His experiences spanned various fields, including neurosurgery, community paediatrics, and private musculoskeletal practice. Notably, Ivan's first placement was at Active+, where he found his passion for the field and decided to join our team. He is dedicated to musculoskeletal rehabilitation and is committed to helping patients regain their functional independence.» View details
Mario completed his Physiotherapy training at AUT graduating as the best overall physiotherapy student of his year. He had his final placement with us and enjoyed it so much he wanted to join the team. He also completed placements at the Middlemore Hospital general surgery ward and musculoskeletal outpatient service. Mario has a passion for musculoskeletal rehabilitation wanting to help patients return to sport, work, and independence. Nadia graduated from AUT in November 2024, having completed one of her final-year placement at Active+ Papakura. She also gained experience during placements at Middlemore Hospital's Medical Assessment Unit and the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Clinic. Nadia has a strong interest movement in all its forms and is passionate about health equity. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, practicing yoga, and making art.» View details
